20.11.2026 – Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra – Piano: Tae-Hyung Kim

Pianist Tae-Hyung Kim first gained international recognition in 2004, winning First Prize and the Beethoven Prize at the City of Porto International Piano Competition. He has since received numerous awards at prestigious competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Long-Thibaud International Competition, Grand Prix Animato, and, as a chamber musician, the Premio Trio di Trieste and the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition.

Kim has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, and the Belgian National Orchestra, performing under the baton of conductors including Vladimir Spivakov, Marin Alsop, and Hugh Wolff. He has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Vadim Repin, Christoph Poppen, Nobuko Imai and Kyung Wha Chung.

The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra began with its first concert on June 1, 1966. Kim Joong-seok was appointed as the inaugural principal conductor, laying the foundation for the orchestra’s development from its inception. Currently, the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra contributes to the development of international music as a cultural ambassador promoting Incheon to the world through approximately 340 regular concerts, 2,500 special concerts, and overseas performances in the United States, Europe (Italy, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia), Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. Furthermore, domestically, it promotes the development of Korean symphonic music by revitalizing local culture through regional tours in cities such as Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Suwon, Bucheon, Daejeon, Jeonju, and Mokpo, and strives for the advancement of culture and arts within Incheon through a wide range of performances catering to diverse audiences.
